The Restaurant

Le Vitel Etonné is a restaurant in the centre of Torino, in proximity to the most important tourist attractions of the city: the Royal Palace, The Egyptian Museum, The "Risorgimento" Museum, The Museum of Cinema. Public transportation easily brings you to Le Vitel Etonné from the main railway stations of the city, Porta Susa and Porta Nuova. The name of the restaurant is a word game suggested by the "astonished" expression of the Vitello Gioele, but recalling as well the very Piedmontese "vitel tonné", a dish always present in our daily menus.
We make fresh pasta every day, and we bake our bread and pastry. Each day, our menu is based on the best products offered by the market, according to the season follows with respect the tradition of Piedmontese cooking, at times reinventing it and making it lighter. When we select our raw materials, we prefer to choose Fassone, farm vegetables, mountain cheeses from the Val di Susa, ancient local flour varieties to make bread and polenta. The Piedmontese tradition is based as well on cod and anchovies: Norway and Cantabric Spain provide us with the best products for our clients.
The atmosphere at Vitello is happy and informal: in case you want to try our full menu, or just a single dish and a glass, Silvia and Serena will welcome you with a professional and gentle touch. Our clients may come down to our cellars and choose a wine to match their menu, while our wine card always contains a selection of wines sold by the glass.
At the aperitivo time, you may savour our anchovies with red and green sauces, our "focaccia" baked as you wait, and "tomini" (small fresh cheeses) together with a glass of sparkling white, with a tasty red or, why not?, with a refreshing beer.
